Our Building

RC-UMC is housed in a spacious and picturesque, colonial-style building at the corner of Seminary and Sheldon Streets, with plenty of parking, both in the lot and on the street.

The building is handicap accessible (see below) and is air conditioned for year round comfort.

Inside

The church’s main level features an elegant sanctuary, complete with pipe organ, grand piano, and sound system. It is an ideal setting for weddings, funeral and memorial services, as well as other ceremonies or formal gatherings. In addition, there is a large Library/Conference room and a children’s nursery/play area on the first floor

The upper, “balcony” level of the church is home to the RC-UMC Sunday School and has multiple class rooms and activity areas.

The lower level features the Schmitt Fellowship Hall, a meeting, dining, and performance facility that includes a full kitchen, a curtained stage, and seating for 150 people.

Private Events

RC-UMC is pleased to offer the use of our multi-purpose facilities to public and private groups. To learn more about features, availability and cost please contact the church office.

Handicap Accessibility

The main and lower levels of the building are accessible and feature an elevator-lift and specially designated wheelchair seating in the sanctuary.

Parking

There is plenty of parking space available, both in the parking lot behind the church building and on the street.

Rince Mo Chroi Irish Dance at Richland Center United Methodist Church

Brittany Hying, owner/choreographer of Rince Mo Chroi (“Dance, My Love”) Irish Dance Studio, is a world championship level Irish dancer. She founded her dance school, The Rince Mo Chroi Irish Dancers in 2003, at the age of 18, and has taught multiple title-holding dancers at the National and International levels. Brittany choreographs all of the material danced by the RMC Irish dancers, including solo and group dances.
